Jornada elEconomista sobre Talento (2026)

The latest elEconomista Business Conference took place in Madrid on 9 July, focusing on the theme of “Talent, Data, and AI: Keys to New Trends and Challenges in HR in Spanish medium-sized businesses." Companies, institutions, and professionals in the fields of human resources and technology came together to discuss how to address the new challenges of talent management at a time of change and technological transformation.

María José Germán, head of GMV’s People division, participated in the conference alongside other industry experts and reflected on the impact of data and artificial intelligence on people management. In her remarks, she emphasized that the main challenge is not only keeping professionals’ skills up to date, but also recruiting candidates with a solid knowledge base, learning skills, resilience, and adaptability—people who are prepared to meet the current and future needs of organizations.

Throughout the event, participants agreed on the need to develop talent management models that combine technological innovation with personal development. They also stressed the importance of creating more flexible, robust, sustainable, and change-ready organizations that can truly center people in their strategies.
