NATO Space Centre of Excellence Conference

From 27 to 29 April at the Centre de Congrès Pierre Baudis in Toulouse, France, GMV participated as a sponsor in the NATO Space Centre of Excellence Conference, boosting its profile at one of the leading international space and defense forums.

Organized by the NATO Space COE, the event brought together representatives from armed forces, government agencies, space agencies, industry, and research centers to analyze the role of space as a strategic domain and advance its integration into NATO operations.

With the theme “From Awareness to Action: Embedding Space in NATO Operations,” the 2026 edition addressed key issues such as deterrence and security in the space domain, the integration of space capabilities in multi-domain operations, and industry-defense collaboration for the development of dual-use solutions.

Over the course of three days, the program included high-level presentations, round-table discussions, and networking sessions in which military leaders and international experts discussed challenges such as interoperability, the resilience of space infrastructure, and the incorporation of commercial capabilities in the defense sector.

GMV had a stand in the exhibition area, where it showcased its capabilities in satellite navigation, space operations, SSA (Space Situational Awareness)/SDA (Space Domain Awareness), and the integration of complex systems. This space served as a meeting point for strengthening collaboration with clients, partners, and other key players in the international ecosystem.

One of the visitors to GMV’s stand was Lieutenant General Marcus Annibale, deputy chief of staff for capabilities at NATO’s Allied Command Transformation Headquarters (HQ SACT), who was briefed on GMV’s capabilities of interest to the Alliance.
