GMV brings on stream the new website of the Conselleria de Sanitat Valenciana (Valencia Regional Health Ministry)

After thoroughgoing preparatory work by GMV, the Conselleria de Sanitat’s new website has now been brought on stream to meet and even exceed the Conselleria de Sanitat Valenciana’s brief. The new website has been implemented as part of the Oficina 2.0 project, within which the Conselleria de Sanitat has unified website communications for the citizens its serves and its own personnel.

GMV has migrated the Conselleria de Sanitat website to the new corporate environment using the Liferay portal contents manager, renewing and adapting its contents and look, presenting the contents in a way that takes into account the viewpoints of the citizens who are going to consult it.

Forms of dialogue between government and governed have changed and citizens are now demanding a much greater say in the whole process. There is an equally patent and steady change in the relations between healthcare professionals and public employees, who are taking to social networking sites and web 2.0 portals in a continual quest for more communication and collaboration.

The Conselleria’s personnel have also been trained up to assume contents-publication tasks, freeing them from dependency on technical personnel for most of the publications.
Oficina 2.0 has also collaborated in implementation of the new intranet, whose overriding remit is to offer Conselleria employees the chance of checking their payroll and income-tax situation at any moment online, eliminating the former task of sending out these documents by post and therefore saving paper.
