ESGW brings together the next generation of Europe’s space sector in London

The tenth edition of the “European Space Generation Workshop” (ESGW) took place on July 18–19, bringing together young professionals and representatives from space agencies, academia, and industry, with the future of European space autonomy taking center stage. The event was held in London, United Kingdom, and organized by the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC).

Over the two-day event, a series of conferences, panel discussions, and roundtable discussions addressed a range of topics, including strengthening critical European capabilities, the importance of integrated architectures for ensuring resilience, and the need to improve regulation, procurement, and financing for long-term space projects.

GMV sponsored the event, reflecting its commitment to developing sovereign European capabilities and technologies and its experience with strategic initiatives such as Celeste LEO-PNT, the European Space Agency (ESA) program to develop and demonstrate new positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) capabilities from low Earth orbit (LEO), and the GOVSATCOM Hub, a central component of the European Union’s governmental satellite communications program.

A number of GMV professionals also took part in the event, where they had the opportunity to share experiences with representatives from other organizations and help foster collaboration among stakeholders in the space sector.
