On 27 January GMV’s head office in Tres Cantos received a visit from the Chief of Staff of the Spanish Navy (Jefe de Estado Mayor de la Armada: AJEMA), Almirante General Jaime Muñoz-Delgado y Díaz del Río, accompanied by personnel from his cabinet.

After some words of welcome from Ricardo Torrón, GMV Director, the visit was organized in various parts. GMV’s CEO, Jesús B. Serrano first gave an outline of the company’s main business lines, following which the General Manager of Homeland Security and Defense, Manuel Pérez Cortés focused on GMV’s activities with the Ministry of Defense and also future business prospects.

In the second part of the visit GMV’s staff showed the Jefe del Estado Mayor de la Armada several systems in operation, such as the unified fire-support system, TALOS, and the Landing Craft Control System (SCE in Spanish initials), both up and running in today’s navy, plus GMV’s various inhouse cyberdefense and cybersecurity developments. GMV also showcased some of its space-sector activities, focusing on GMV’s leadership as supplier of ground control systems for commercial telecommunication satellite operators.

The JEMA showed a keen interest throughout, not only in the growth of GMV’s business but also the company’s proven technological capacity in the various markets it trades in, as well as its unflinching commitment to quality and competitiveness.

At the end of the visit Almirante General Jaime Muñoz-Delgado y Díaz del Río met up with the GMV president, Mónica Martínez, to whom he expressed his interest in our firm.
