World Space Week in Galicia

World Space Week is organized by the United Nations, and it takes place from October 4th to 10th. As part of this year’s celebration, the University of Vigo’s School of Telecommunications Engineering will be hosting a workshop on October 8th entitled “Excellence as the pathway to space”. The purpose of this event is to showcase the excellence of the space ecosystem in Galicia, and its contributions to scientific, technological, and social development.

Admission to the workshop is free, although the number of spaces available is limited. The event will bring together professionals from the aerospace field, including representatives from universities, public institutions, and industry, in a forum designed to promote collaborations and sharing of experiences, while highlighting the strategic role that space plays for innovation and competitiveness.

GMV will be represented by Miguel Ángel Molina, Deputy General Manager of the company’s Space Systems EST sector, who will be giving a presentation at the workshop. His participation reflects GMV’s commitment to encouraging collaborations between industry and academia, and to promoting technological excellence and innovation in the space industry.
