GMV is participating in this year’s “Madrid Astronomy, Rocketry & Space Student Symposium” (M.A.R.S.³) as a gold sponsor. This is an event organized by the Astronomical Association for Aeronautics (AAA), and it will take place from October 8th to 10th at the School of Advanced Aeronautical and Space Engineering at the Technical University of Madrid (ETSIAE–UPM).

The symposium will bring together students, researchers, and professionals, to promote sharing of knowledge and collaborations between the university and the space industry. With a multidisciplinary focus, M.A.R.S.³ will cover topics such as space exploration, technological innovation, Earth observation, and the development of NewSpace.

On October 8th, Juan Antonio Béjar, head of GMV’s guidance, navigation, and control system project for the Proba‑3 mission, will give a presentation entitled “Proba‑3: artificial solar eclipses and the challenge of formation flying”, to explain the progress being made on this pioneering European Space Agency (ESA) mission. On Friday, October 10th, Mariella Graziano will be giving a presentation on “Space sustainability and resilience: a global perspective”, with a focus on the challenges and opportunities related to a sustainable future for space.

Also on October 10th, Miguel Ángel Molina, Deputy General Manager of GMV’s Space Systems EST sector, will be participating in a roundtable discussion on “Space Law”, where he will be sharing GMV’s perspectives on legal frameworks and space governance.
