ESAC Open Day 2026

GMV is participating in the European Space Agency’s (ESA) ESAC Open Day 2026, taking place on 3 October at its European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC) in Villanueva de la Cañada, Madrid. This event is part of ESA Open Days 2026, an initiative that offers insight into the ESA’s work and its main centers throughout Europe, and which will be held this year at the following locations:

• 19 and 20 September: ESA headquarters, Paris, France. 
• 25 September: ESA ESRIN, Frascati, Italy. 
• 26 and 27 September: ESA ESTEC, Noordwijk, the Netherlands. 
• 2 October: ESA ESOC, Darmstadt, Germany. 
• 3 October: ESA ESAC, Villanueva de la Cañada, Spain. 
• 10 October: ESA ECSAT, Harwell Campus, United Kingdom. 

The event at ESAC, which seeks to make science and space exploration more accessible to families, students, and the general public, will offer an opportunity to learn firsthand about the work of ESA scientists, engineers, and professionals. Attendees can visit exhibits, participate in interactive activities, and learn about how space missions are conducted and how the scientific data they collect is analyzed.

This year’s edition will focus on space astronomy and the exploration of the universe, featuring content on black holes, exoplanets, and the far reaches of the cosmos.
