5th SmallSats Meeting: The Boom of the Space Economy

GMV is organizing the 5th SmallSats Meeting: The Boom of the Space Economy, which will take place on July 2–3, 2026. The event will bring together representatives from industry, institutions, space agencies, and academia to discuss the profound transformation of the space economy and its growing importance for technological development, defense, and security.

The program will explore topics such as the industrialization of the space sector, the resilience of space infrastructures and capabilities, Europe's strategic autonomy, and the role of public-private collaboration in driving innovation. Designed as a forum for discussion and knowledge exchange, the meeting will provide a multidisciplinary perspective on the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of the space economy.

The meeting is co-directed by Miguel Ángel Molina, Chairman of the Space Council of GMV, and is part of the Summer Courses of the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP) at the Palacio de la Magdalena, in Santander (Cantabria, Spain), providing a unique forum for dialogue among industry, institutions, and the scientific community on the future of the space sector.
