Home About GMV Get to Know the Company R&D+I Aid Tartaglia Federated networks to accelerate the application of AI in healthcare Print Share MISSION:TARTAGLIA se pone en marcha para acelerar la aplicación de la IA en el Sistema Nacional de Salud (SNS) y ayudar a pacientes y profesionales sanitarios a reforzar la prevención y el diagnóstico temprano de las enfermedades. The project proposes a network with a federated data space designed to tackle the challenge of secure data sharing, ensuring connectivity and interoperability among Spain’s regional digital health services, as well as interconnection with European projects. It also includes the training of healthcare professionals to share knowledge and collaboratively train AI models, enabling research and the development of new products and services.OBJECTIVES: El principal reto de TARTAGLIA es crear un ecosistema que canalice la actividad de la investigación y permita construir herramientas de IA sobre los datos de forma conjunta y segura, estableciendo una red federada como factor clave para contribuir y beneficiarse de los bancos de datos. The project also aims to build greater trust among professionals by supporting them in decision-making for the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s, macular degeneration, prostate cancer, complex chronic conditions, and ultrasound diagnostics. The ultimate goal is to create a more competitive market in Spain and Europe that fosters the creation and growth of companies.WORK PACKAGES:Investigación en Redes Federadas de aprendizaje usando algoritmos de Inteligencia Artificial.Research on the industrialization of data enrichment and harmonizationPlatform securityEarly diagnosis of clinically significant prostate cancer (CaPcs) through AIDetection of Alzheimer’s disease through computational analysis of spontaneous languageSimulator for predicting cardiometabolic diseases using digital twin technologyAcquisition of echocardiographic imaging and automatic quantification guided by artificial intelligenceResearch on predictive models for the automatic screening of diabetic retinopathy using AISixteen entities will collaborate to create a federated network powered by artificial intelligence to accelerate clinical and healthcare research in Spain. These include agencies, foundations, and research institutes linked to regional health services, universities, spin-offs, national SMEs, and large international companies. News The Tartaglia project is part of the R&D Missions in Artificial Intelligence Program, which falls under the Spain Digital 2025 Agenda and the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Civil Service (Project No. TSI-100205-2021-0). It is funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU as part of Spain’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
