The focus of GMV’s strategic plan for the intelligent transportation systems (ITS) sector (2018-2020) is to develop new ITS products for road and rail public transportation operators, for private transportation, and for manufacturers in the automotive industry. For this purpose, GMV has received co‑funding from the European Regional Development Fund to expand its efforts in the areas of research, technological development, and innovation.

Some of the products developed include:

  • A new hardware abstraction platform that can be used with all next-generation onboard equipment and ITS devices.

  • A new software platform for use with fleet control and management systems and electronic fare collection systems.
  • Evolution of the PALVIEW platform for location-based services.

A new range of onboard products for fleet control and management systems and for electronic fare collection systems. Within this range of products, GMV has developed the following equipment:

  • RMDT100: A ruggedized tablet designed for onboard use in public transportation by road, with the capacity to store a variety of software applications that perform ITS functions
  • R-REC35: Onboard equipment for use in public transportation by train, with the capacity to store a variety of software applications that perform ITS functions.
  • UC100: A highly configurable, maximum-performance PCB that can be used to implement complex ITS systems for buses, light rail systems, and trains.
  • DTD100: Driver-operated sales terminal for the sale of public road transport tickets. Allowing payment in cash, through smart transportation cards (physical and virtual), bank cards (physical and virtual) and QR codes.
  • TV10: An automated payment terminal for selling public transportation tickets. It accepts payment by transportation smart cards (physical and virtual) and bank cards (physical and virtual). It is designed for installation on bars or by integration into entrance turnstiles at stations.
