Ricardo Sáenz Amandi

Ricardo Sáenz holds a degree in Engineering from ICAI (1996).

He started his relationship with GMV in 1995 and joined the company in 1996 as a project engineer in embedded systems and simulation.

From late 1996 to 1998, he worked in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems, participating in the development of the first electronic equipment and systems for bus fleet management.

In 1999, he joined the Defence and Security area, where he has worked ever since, specializing in navigation and avionics, unmanned systems, and command, control and intelligence systems.

In 2006, he completed the Advanced Logistics Management Course at CESEDEN, and in 2013 he was appointed Director of Defence and Security Programs. Since June 2026, he has been serving as General Manager of Defence and Security.

He has participated in numerous programs for the Spanish Ministry of Defence, in international defence programs such as NGWS-FCAS, as well as in projects for the European Defence Agency (EDA), NATO, the European Commission, and FRONTEX.
