Luis Fernando Álvarez-Gascón

Luis Fernando Álvarez-Gascón is a senior aeronautical engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (1987), and he completed postgraduate studies in Business Administration at the Instituto de Empresa (Executive MBA) and at IESE (PDG).

He joined GMV in 1986, working as a project engineer and project manager, conducting technical activities in areas such as systems engineering, systems simulation and satellite navigation. Later, he reoriented his career toward the sales and marketing area, increasing his responsibilities until he was appointed GMV Strategic Marketing Manager. In 2001, he became the GMV Secure e-Solutions General Manager, leading the secure solutions business internationally for large telecommunications companies, banks and insurance companies, public administrations, healthcare, industry and other sectors.

He has been actively involved in several professional associations. He currently serves as Chairman of the Dual Technologies for Defense Committee at AMETIC (Spanish Association of Electronics, Information Technology, Telecommunications and Digital Content Companies) and Vice President of the Innovative Business Forum (Foro de Empresas Innovadoras, FEI). In the past, he served as Secretary of Proespacio (Spanish Association of Space Industry Companies), Vice President of AMETIC, and member of the Executive Committee of the Defense and Security Technologies Circle (Círculo de Tecnologías para la Defensa y la Seguridad).
