ISR Systems

As part of Spain’s participation in NATO’s MAJIIC/MAJIIC2 project, GMV has developed a groundbreaking set of ISR systems integrated in the SAPEM program.

SAPEM is an R&D program developed by GMV for the Directorate General of Armaments and Material (Dirección General de Armamento y Material: DGAM) of Spain’s MoD. It comprises ATENEA stations (information-requirement management and intelligence-collection management), SEISMO (operating system), COLLECTOR (integration of sensors and training) and the database (CSD) for interchanging intelligence products and data-exchange workflows. This system facilitates deployment of interoperable ISR capabilities (on the basis of concepts defined in the multinational cooperation program MAJIIC), enabling the Spanish armed forces’ available ISR resources to be brought into line with the allied JISR initiative.

GMV has also developed the C2NEC command control system completely integrated with JISR tools.

GMV’s inhouse developments are being used not only by Spain’s MoD but also by several NATO centers such as the NATO Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC) in Poland, the NATO Joint Warfare Center (JWC) in Norway and the Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System Group Executive (BGX) in Belgium.
