  • INFO-pass is based on a totally digital architecture. The system is distributed over an Ethernet backbone running throughout the whole train. All available information is digitally exchanged between cars 
  • This architecture has a high degree of scalability in system design and is maintenance friendly throughout its whole useful lifecycle 
  • The passenger information unit (PI unit) is installed on one of the cars and connected to the Ethernet, offering the following performance features:
    • Total control over panels and monitors installed on the train
    • Train tracking functions by GPS, odometer and other balises like RFIP
    • Wireless communication with the desktop app for remote downloading of configurations and contents.
    • Integration with the train’s PA system to initiate automatic announcements, a text-to-speech annunciator system and prerecorded audios. 
  • The digital video server (DVS) plays video contents over the monitors. 
  • Both driver cabs are fitted with HMIs to control and monitor system performance.
