Networking Technician

Description

The successful candidate will form part of the company’s personal communications and cyber-security team, assisting us with the deployment and maintenance of computer networks (equipping and configuring both wired and wireless networks) to meet the company’s LAN/WAN needs. The main tasks will include dimensioning, documentation, installation and improvement of all Networking services and incident resolution concerning the latter.

Requirements

- Education: Vocational Training (FPII) or a degree in computer engineering, telecommunications or similar.
- Level of English: Intermediate
- Technical knowledge:

• TCP/IP knowledge (Vlan, Routing, subnetting)
• Network monitoring systems
• LAN protocols (STP, IGMP)
• WAN protocols (OSPF, BGP)
• Configuration of Cisco/Enterasys switches
• Configuration of Mikrotik routers
• Wireless
• QoS systems

- Valuable knowledge:

• Load balancers and HA
• NGFW / UTM
• CCNA certification
• ACMP certification
• Networking project management
