GNSS Time & Frequency Engineer

Description

You will join a team working on projects and products related to timing and frequency generation and distribution using different technologies such as GNSS, atomic clocks, and network time protocols. We are looking for someone with at least five years’ experience as a GNSS or Time&Frequency engineer. You will participate in:

  • Development of current projects with the European Space Agency (ESA), the European Commission (EC), and the European GNSS Agency (GSA)
  • Preparation of new proposals for such customers
  • Development and maintenance of current and new commercial products
  • Participation in business development and strategy
  • Direct liaison with the customer (including attendance of meetings in Europe)
  • Writing of abstracts and papers and participation in international conferences

Requirements

- Qualification: MSc, PhD or equivalent in Telecom, Electronics, or Physics
- Level of English : Advanced
- Technical Knowledge:

  • GNSS signal processing
  • Calibration of GNSS station and satellite time delays
  • International time scales (EAL, TAI, UTC, TT)
  • Time-transfer techniques (CGGTTS, TWSTFT, PPP, IPPP, etc)
  • Clock stability analysis (MTIE, TDEV, ADEV, etc)

- Desirable Knowledge:

  • Python and UNIX programming
  • Timing applications and markets (telecom, energy, finance, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (VNA, oscilloscope, GNSS simul., TIC, etc)
  • Hardware integration at COTS level
  • Software Defined Radio (SDR)
  • Time & Frequency distribution protocols (IRIG-B, eSync, NTP, PTP, White Rabbit, etc)
