We are looking for a junior database administrator for a stable job position working for a banking client.
This will involve the following tasks:

  • Database infrastructure maintenance and checking (cassandraDB, Oracle, PostgreSQL, EnterpriseDB)
  • Creation of new structures, database tables or procedures by means of DDL at development team’s request for new implementations
  • Supporting GMV’s development team (reporting & tools) in new SQL development or implementations
  • Oracle EDB's Migration Toolkit project management
  • Creation of database-infrastructure monitoring processes or scripts
  • Maintenance and checking of fraud treatment file storage and reception infrastructure
  • Liaison with other teams to ensure productive file transfer arrangements
  • Inventories of the various files to keep proper control over volumes and necessary information for making any corresponding claims in the event of any incidents
  • Creation of file-monitoring processes or scripts, ensuring these scripts also serve for file transfers from or to our infrastructure
  • Liaison with country personnel for new transfers
  • Opening of change management, documents explaining this opening procedure and the opening of incidents, closure of change management
  • Administration of CERT’s fraud case opening and management tool (ECM).
  • Administration of the cybersecurity and global forensic team’s monitoring and management tool of alerts from different traffic networks (INTELLINX)
  • Coordination, implementation and deployments of new releases of various applications
  • Management of permits for personal users and applications in mysql databases of different countries


- Qualification: Higher degree in systems or development
- Level of English: Basic
- Technical knowledge:
A general knowledge of two or more of the following databases:

  • Cassandra
  • SQL
  • PostgreSQL
  • Oracle
  • MySQL

- Desirable knowledge:

  • Linux
  • MongoDB
  • Monitoring
