The RootedCON IT Security Congress, to be held on 14 and 15 September in the Company-University Foundation of Valencia University (Fundación Universidad-Empresa de la Universitat de València: ADEIT), aims to encourage the exchange of knowledge between members of the security community, especially championing the enormous capacity of Spanish-speaking professionals.

RootedCON’s remit is to promote technical knowledge in a laid-back, exchange-based environment. At RootedCON any member of the security community can present his or her ideas: students, trade professionals, companies, amateur enthusiasts, state forces, hackers, artists, academics, etc.

On 15 September Carlos Sahuquillo, Automotive Cybersecurity Consultant of GMV’s Secure e-Solutions sector, will be giving a paper on autonomous car cybersecurity under the title “Car Hacking: From Angelina Jolie to Charlize Theron” (12.00 hours).
