GMV Business Manager for Central-Eastern Europe


Fermín Catalán

Graduating as aeronautical engineer from ETSIA (Higher School of Aeronautics Engineers), Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Polytechnic University of Madrid) in 1987 and obtaining his MBA from ICADE (Business Administration Institute) in 1990, he began his working career in SENER in 1997 as propulsion engineer for the engine of the Eurofighter aircraft. In 1991 he joined CRISA where he held various posts and led several projects within the space sector. In 2001 he was signed up by ESPELSA as Director of Operations, in charge of development teams and engineering project. In 2006 he began his professional activity in GMV, joining the GNSS unit as head of subcontractors for the Galileo project. In 2009 he switched to corporate development as Regional Manager of Central and Eastern Europe, masterminding from there the establishment of GMV in Poland and Romania.
