THE HUMAN BRAIN PROJECT (HBP) aims to lever cutting-edge, ICT-based scientific Research Infrastructure for brain research, cognitive neuroscience and brain-inspired computing and medicine. This research is collaborative, involving 112 institutions from 24 countries all pledged to drive Europe’s industry.
Three years later, with the bases of the project by now well defined, The Spanish Industrial HUB is now being set up, comprising GMV along with other companies, coordinated by TECNALIA and supported by the Ministry of Economics and Competitiveness (Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad). It aims to contribute towards the strategy of the HUMAN BRAIN PROJECT and transfer research results to Spanish industry.
Rafael Navajo Garrido, GMV’s Director of Healthcare Business Development, will be giving a paper on the benefits GMV has brought to Spain’s healthcare industry and the sheer importance of innovation in this sector.
