The award was received by Miguel Ángel Martínez Olagüe, GMV's general manager for Intelligent Transportation Systems.During the gala, organized by the FaCyL Cluster, the role of Castilla y León as a consolidated ecosystem of innovation, collaboration, and technological development in the automotive industry was highlighted. GMV has been part of this ecosystem since the late 1990s, when it established its headquarters in Boecillo, where it develops key projects in intelligent transport systems, automotive, and cybersecurity.The challenge of maintaining the region's leadership both nationally and internationally was also highlighted, as well as the need to tackle the transition to more sustainable mobility through a coordinated, long-term strategy. The ceremony was closed by the president of the Regional Government of Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, who reiterated the regional government's commitment to the sector's flagship projects in the region. He highlighted that the community has more than €3 billion in planned investment in the medium term and that the administration is working, together with FaCyL and the industrial fabric, to strengthen competitiveness, attract new investment, and ensure a fair and realistic industrial transition.With this recognition, GMV reaffirms its contribution to smarter, safer, and more sustainable mobility, bringing technology and talent from Castilla y León to the rest of the world.
