ISMS Forum - Municipal NIS2 Workshop for Companies

On December 10th, GMV will be participating in the Municipal NIS2 Workshop for Companies, organized by the ISMS Forum in collaboration with the Cybersecurity Agency and the Municipal Government of Majadahonda. 

The aim of this event is to promote competitiveness and help protect local enterprise by encouraging awareness of the European Union’s NIS2 (Network and Information Security 2) Directive, its implications, and the initial preparatory steps needed for compliance. There will be a special emphasis on small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) and on companies participating in supply chains.

GMV will be represented by its Cybersecurity & Privacy Ambassador, Mariano J. Benito, who will be giving a presentation entitled
“From theory to practice: how to start preparing for NIS2”, in which he will address the following subjects:

• The impact of this EU Directive on supply chains and relationships with suppliers.
• Examples of contractual requirements and typical security measures.
• Good practices that are accessible to smaller-sized companies.
• Available tools and resources for self-assessment and continual improvement.

GMV’s participation in this event is a further demonstration of its commitment to cybersecurity, protection of the business ecosystem, and sharing of practical knowledge to help address new regulatory challenges in the digital environment.
