EU Space Days 2026

GMV will be taking part in EU Space Days 2026, the European Union’s flagship event dedicated to space policy, industry, and innovation, to be held on May 26–27 in Nicosia, Cyprus. The event is organized by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS) under the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The conference will bring together institutional representatives, policymakers, leaders from Europe’s space industry, companies, investors, and sector experts to discuss the future of the European space ecosystem, as well as the challenges surrounding competitiveness, resilience, sustainability, and strategic autonomy.

María Antonia Ramos Prada, Head of Space Traffic Management at GMV, will participate on May 26 in the session “EU Space Act: Strengthening Safety, Resilience and Sustainability in Space,” slotted for the event’s main stage. The session will explore the role of the future EU Space Act in regulating and promoting European space activities, with a particular focus on safety, orbital sustainability, and the development of a competitive and responsible European space sector. Prada will join representatives from the European Commission and the European space industry to share GMV’s vision and expertise in the field of space traffic management.
