EuroGNC – Conference on Guidance, Navigation, and Control

GMV will be participating in the EuroGNC - Conference on Guidance, Navigation, and Control, which is being held in Madrid from May 5th to 7th. This event is being sponsored by the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), and it will bring together international experts working in the field of guidance, navigation, and control (GNC), to discuss the latest technological advances in aerospace systems and autonomous platforms.

As part of the technical program, GMV will be giving a presentation in the session entitled “Navigation in GNSS-Denied and Challenging Environments”, which is sponsored by Spain’s National Aerospace Technical Institute (INTA). In this case, the focus will be on innovative solutions designed to ensure robust navigation capabilities in complex or GNSS signal-denied environments.

During his presentation, Mr. García will be explaining the developments carried out as part of the AIRSENSE project, which is currently in its second phase. The purpose of this project is to design an advanced navigator for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that can operate in scenarios with no availability of a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signal. His presentation will also provide a summary of the results achieved during the first phase of the project, where realistic simulations have been performed for the new system developed, with outstanding performance seen even in the absence of any GNSS signals
