Workshop on AI applied to business: innovation, case studies, and regulatory perspectives

On January 22nd, a workshop entitled “AI applied to business: innovation, case studies, and regulatory perspectives” will be held at the Department of Computer Science at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM).

José Carlos Baquero, GMV’s Manager of AI and Big Data, has been invited to participate in the session on “Experiences and success stories”, where he will give a presentation entitled “The TartaglIAproject: a federated data space”.

The aim of the TartaglIA project is to accelerate the application of AI in Spain’s National Health System (SNS), and to help patients and healthcare professionals strengthen prevention and early diagnosis of diseases. With this project, 16 entities have collaborated to create a federated network using artificial intelligence, in order to achieve secure data sharing and ensure that Spain’s digital health services can benefit from connectivity and interoperability among regions, as well as interconnection with other European projects.

The TARTAGLIA project has been funded through the R&D Missions in Artificial Intelligence Program of the Spanish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation’s State Secretariat of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (SEDIA) (File No. TSI-100205-2021-0), using funds from the country’s Recovery, Resilience, and Transformation Plan.
