National Forum: New Paradigms for Quantum Computing

The National Forum entitled “New Paradigms for Quantum Computing” is organized by the ITCL technology center, as part of the Centr@tec 4 program. This is an initiative promoted by the Castile and León Institute for Competitive Business (ICECYL). This Forum is especially designed for companies (industrial, services), startups, public administrations, university researchers, and technology centers.

The event’s main objective is to evaluate and discuss the current state of quantum computing, and especially to present practical use cases of real applications where the disruptive potential of quantum computing is decisive. These cases include, among others, those involving Finance: portfolio management and fraud detection. Chemical/pharmaceutical industries: simulation of molecules and materials. Logistics: optimization of complex logistics. Defense: Advanced materials. Security: Detection of cyberattacks and vulnerabilities. Integration of cryptographic protocols into IoT systems and embedded systems.

Representing GMV, Ana María Sánchez Montero, head of the company’s Quantum Computing Section, will be participating in the roundtable discussion entitled “The quantum ecosystem and its current reality” (1:30 PM).
