On 17 May GMV’s Tres Cantos site received a visit from the concurrent students of CESEDEN's 20th High Logistics Management Course (Higher Center for Defense Studies of the Spanish Ministry of Defense).

This is a course given not only by logistics officers from the army, navy and air-force but also representatives from companies of the defense sector.

GMV is invariably included in the fold of sector companies. The visit was presided over by GMV's Adviser on Defense and Security General Ricardo Torrón.

After a presentation given by GMV’s Homeland Security & Defense General Manager, Manuel Pérez Cortés, course attendants were given a good grounding on GMV’s activities in the areas of defense, security, space, demining and satellite navigation applications.

Among all the solutions developed by GMV, course goers could find out at first hand about the complete system for unified control of artillery and mortar firing support (TALOS), evaluate a Mobile ISTAR Operating system called “seismo” (after its Spanish initials: "Sistema de Explotación ISTAR Móvil"), get to know about a Landing Craft Control System (SCE in Spanish initials) during an amphibious landing or find out about GMV’s applications for satellite control centers, where our company is a worldwide leader.

The visit ended with the handing over of a plaque of acknowledgment of GMV’s contribution to the course as a company of recognized prestige.
