These awards recognize the most outstanding technology projects of the year in Spain for their contribution to digitalization, efficiency, and innovation in different sectors. In the Industry category, the award went to the Scoobic MED project, developed by Passion Motorbike Factory–Scoobic with GMV as the technology partner. This pioneering last-mile logistics solution integrates advanced technologies such as 5G connectivity and artificial intelligence to develop an autonomous and 100% electric vehicle that optimizes urban deliveries. The award was presented by Álex Arjomandi, Account Executive at Liferay, and accepted by Miguel Hormigo, Director of the Industry Sector at GMV.Scoobic MED stands out for its ability to operate fully autonomously in urban environments thanks to the integration of uPathWay, the management, monitoring and coordination platform for mobile robots and autonomous vehicles developed by GMV. This solution enables the vehicle to analyze its surroundings in real time, identify obstacles and optimize routes, improving both efficiency and safety in deliveries. The use of 5G technology ensures low-latency and highly reliable communications, which are essential for the safe operation of autonomous vehicles in urban areas, while the application of artificial intelligence algorithms supports efficient and adaptive decision-making in response to changing environmental conditions. The Special Award for Best Social Project went to OmicSpace, an initiative led by the La Fe Health Research Institute (IIS La Fe) and GMV that aims to create a federated biomedical data space for clinical and healthcare research in Spain. The award was presented by Luis Fernando Álvarez-Gascón, General Manager of Secure e-Solutions at GMV, to María José Carrión, Managing Director of IIS La Fe, Javier Ripoll, Coordinator of the Informatics Department, and Lucas Espuig, Legal Specialist in Data Protection.OmicSpace builds on the earlier TARTAGLIA project, led by GMV, which demonstrated the potential of federated data networks for research powered by artificial intelligence. Now, with IIS La Fe leading the initiative and with the collaboration of key partner institutions, the new project is positioned as a driver of transformation toward personalized medicine. The OmicSpace platform securely integrates clinical, genomic and biobank information in accordance with European standards and the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable), which define how research data should be managed so that they are discoverable, accessible, interoperable and reusable. The initiative promotes the ethical and secure exchange of biomedical information among various national nodes, accelerating personalized diagnosis and treatment. These recognitions reinforce GMV’s leadership as a trusted technology partner in projects that combine advanced technology, social impact and sustainability, fully aligned with its commitment to a digital, ethical and resilient future.
