GMV fosters international cooperation at the Spain–UK Trade and Investment Forum

On March 18, Madrid hosted the Spain-UK Trade and Investment Forum, an event organized by ICEX in partnership with the British Embassy and with the support of Spain’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business and the UK’s Ministry of Economy and Finance. The event, where opportunities for collaboration and cooperation between Spanish and British companies served as the central focus, brought together government officials and businesses from numerous sectors with the aim of strengthening alliances between both countries.

GMV was present at the forum through the participation of Pedro J. Schoch, Director of Corporate development, Marketing and Communication department of GMV, in the roundtable discussion on Advanced Technologies and Defense. In this session, alongside other companies from the technology sector, Pedro J. Schoch shared GMV’s perspective on the relationship between the UK and Spain, as well as the opportunities emerging in both economies.

Artificial intelligence, healthcare technology, finance, cybersecurity, and the aerospace industry were among the sectors represented in the other roundtable discussions that comprised the day’s program. Throughout these sessions, participating companies aligned their remarks toward a common goal: the importance of reinforcing political ties and deepening and expanding trade and investment flows between Spain and the United Kingdom.

This inaugural edition of the Spain-UK Trade and Investment Forum also featured the presence of Spain’s Minister of Economy, Trade and Business, Carlos Cuerpo, and the UK’s Minister of Economy and Finance, Rachel Reeves.
