The delegation was received by GMV CEO Jesús Serrano, along with members of the company’s management team, in a visit aimed at strengthening cooperation across the European Union’s flagship space programs.The visit gave the European representatives an up-close look at some of GMV’s most advanced facilities and capabilities in the space and defense domains. These included the Galileo Room, a replica of the operations center for Europe’s satellite navigation system. Guided by Víctor Pozo, Head of GMV’s Navigation Systems Ground Control Segment, attendees gained a deeper understanding of the company’s role in the Galileo program's critical GCS component, whose maintenance and upgrades are led by GMV.The visit also included a tour of the Multimission Room, an advanced facility designed for the control, monitoring, and simultaneous operation of multiple space missions, which stands as a testament to GMV’s expertise in the end-to-end management of complex systems.The delegation toured the Space Robotics Laboratory, where Fernando Gandía, Head of the Robotics and Onboard Autonomy Division, presented the company’s latest developments in robotics for exploration missions, along with its capabilities in satellite control, secure connectivity, and defense-related technologies.The meeting provided an opportunity to underscore the close collaboration between GMV and the European Commission in sharpening the competitive edge of Europe’s space industry. GMV plays a pivotal role in major EU programs such as Galileo, Copernicus, GOVSATCOM, and EUSST, supporting the enhancement of Europe’s space capabilities in an increasingly strategic and competitive environment.
