Space Defense & Security Summit
On September 16th and 17th, Paris will once again become the epicenter of international discussions on space defense and security, when it hosts the second edition of the Space Defense & Security Summit (SDSS). This event will be held at the prestigious Les Salons Hoche venue, which is located just a few minutes away from the Hôtel du Collectionneur, where World Satellite Business Week (WSBW) will be taking place in parallel.
Organized by Euroconsult, the SDSS will bring together more than 300 attendees and 60 speakers from over 35 countries, further consolidating this event as a key forum for institutional, military, industrial, and academic leaders in the space field. Based on a strategic focus, the SDSS will be addressing subjects such as the increasingly contested use of space, new risks, the urgent need to promote effective cooperative models, and the importance of investing in technologies and human talent to ensure the resilience of space capabilities.
The disruptive impact of emerging commercial solutions will also be discussed, along with their influence on those involved in the area of space defense. The fact that this event will be taking place simultaneously with WSBW will provide additional opportunities for the attendees to network with other leaders from the space ecosystem.
GMV will be taking part in the summit through attendance by Miguel Ángel Molina Cobos, GMV’s Deputy General Manager for Space Systems, who will be participating in the roundtable discussion entitled “Space Surveillance soon facing a 50,000+ objects’ environment”.
