SALTO

Reusable Strategic Space Launcher Technologies & Operations
Logo SALTO

SALTO is a European initiative aimed at advancing the maturity of reusable rocket technologies. The project brings together a consortium of 26 partners from 12 different countries.

GMV plays a key role in SALTO, building on its extensive experience in developing and qualifying complete avionics systems for micro-launchers since 2017. This includes a strong focus on power conditioning and distribution equipment for rugged environments, such as the PCDU developed under the ESA FLPP T1H program.

Leveraging this background, GMV is developing a Modular Power Unit (MPU) for the T3 Themis launcher. The MPU ensures safe and efficient power distribution to launcher systems through independent power buses. Its modular, configurable, and cost-effective design is a critical enabler for Europe's future in reusable spaceflight.
