We work to protect what people care about most: our health. Together with healthcare professionals, researchers, and patients, we develop solutions and take part in research to treat diseases like cancer and Alzheimer's and care for the sick and elderly.

Leaders of the TARTAGLIA consortium, which is responsible for creating a federated network to accelerate application of artificial intelligence in clinical and healthcare research in Spain

HealthTech Observer (HTO)
Description and goals

GMV has set up the HealthTech Observer, a knowledge forum involving leading professionals from the fields of clinical and technological innovation and health, healthcare, and welfare research. The forum’s founding mission is to accelerate the uptake of digital technologies as tools for implementing patient-centered personalized and precision medicine, which is essential for the sustainability of healthcare systems.

The HealthTech Observer strategy focuses on spreading scientific knowledge and generating objective, rigorous data through partnerships and synergies with reputable organizations such as Spain’s National Association of Health Informants (ANIS). As a corporate member, GMV seeks to promote truthful, objective, rigorous, and transparent information on technological innovation in healthcare for the benefit of patients and the healthcare system itself, as a key element of sustainability, equity, and social cohesion.

This knowledge is disseminated in different ways, namely through published documents (white papers, e-books, articles, press releases, etc.) and specialized online and in-person events (seminars, panel discussions, press conferences, etc.).

This initiative aligns with GMV’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 3, which focuses on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages, and SDG 9, which includes important aspects such as the promotion of technology, innovation, and research to find lasting solutions to economic and environmental challenges.

Likewise, in line with SDG 17, which encourages partnerships to achieve the Goals, GMV is taking part in numerous digital innovation and research projects in the healthcare field, applying breakthrough technologies, and networking with Spanish and European hospitals, universities, and research centers. It also shares the results of these initiatives in health and healthcare media and specialized publications.
