The European Space Agency’s Living Planet Symposium 2016 follows on from the previous successful symposia held in Edinburgh (2013), Bergen (2010), Montreux (2007) and Salzburg (2004).

The event this year will be held in Prague, Czech Republic, from 9 to 13 May 2016 and is organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic and local support from Charles University in Prague.

The objective of this symposium is to present the plans and report the progress in implementation of ESA’s Earth Observation strategy, providing an international forum for scientists, researchers and users to present and share the latest results based on ESA’s EO mission data and review development of earth-observation applications, among others.

GMV is currently working very actively in the earth-observation applications market, adding value to satellite images, and is therefore playing a key role in this symposium, presenting several technical papers.
