2nd Space Engineering Congress

GMV is taking part in the “2nd Space Engineering Congress 2017” organized by the Association of Aeronautics Engineers of Spain (Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Aeronáuticos de España: COIAE) and to be held from 22 to 24 November in the Engineering Institute of Spain (Instituto de la Ingeniería de España) in Madrid.

The main aim of the congress is to bring together all the stakeholders of the national and international space panorama. Over the 3 days of the conference presentations will be given to share the congress’s vision of this sector.

  • Wednesday 22 November: “ONE WEB: mega-constellation command and control systems”. This will deal with GMV’s role in developing the command and control (C2) component of the ground system of the telecommunications operator OneWeb’s mega-constellation, made up by nearly 900 orbiting satellites.
  • Thursday 23 November: “New generation SBAS for high accuracy services in Australia and New Zealand”, centering on GMV’s role in the deployment of an operational augmentation system in Australia.
  • Friday 24 November: “Space surveillance and tracking activities in GMV”.

Furthermore, Miguel Ángel Molina, GMV’s Aerospace Programs and Business Development Manager, will be participating in the Innovation panel discussion to be held from 9.35 to 11.00 hours on 24 November.
