This project will build on GMV’s wealth of experience in providing centers of this type. Thaicom 6 is a Star 2 platform geostationary telecommunications spacecraft built by Orbital Sciences. Over the years, GMV has established a strong history with Orbital Sciences and supports numerous Star 2 platform spacecraft. Thaicom 6, due for launch in mid 2013, will offer C-band and Ku-band services to South and Southeast Asia and Southern Africa. The satellite will generate approximately 3.7 kilowatts of payload power and will be located at 78.5 degrees East Longitude. GMV will develop and implement the satellite control center for Thaicom 6, including the real time satellite telemetry and telecommand system based on its hifly® product, the flight dynamics system based upon its focusSuite product. The control system also integrates the ground system monitoring and control.
