In February, GMV attended the 8th edition of the SmallSat Symposium, which was held in the heart of Silicon Valley in Mountain View, California. This year’s event was entitled “Growth² for Your SmallSat Business”, and it brought together an impressive group of speakers and panelists from a wide range of public, private, and governmental organizations, to identify essential trends and learn about the latest disruptive technologies. SmallSats now represent 97% of all satellites launched, it is important for their future to create an ideal environment for open communication and development of a consolidated vision.

The program for this conference covered an extensive range of subjects, such as the current SmallSat market, regulatory aspects, investment, and emerging technologies and concepts such as the Internet of things, in‑space services, megaconstellations, machine learning, and cloud computing.
