FIAA 2022

GMV recently took part in this year’s International Bus and Coach Fair (FIAA) 2022, which took place from 18 to 21 October in one of IFEMA’s exhibition halls in Madrid.

Fair attendees and industry professionals alike had the chance to discover GMV’s intelligent transportation systems (ITS) solutions at its stand. Among them, GMV presented its latest CAD/AVL and ticketing system solutions.

One piece of equipment on display was the passenger ticket validator, which allows passengers to board using a transport card, smartphone or bank card and is compatible with account-based ticketing (ABT) systems. The validator’s modular architecture allows each customer to choose the most suitable setup, supporting both QR readers and communication modems. Among the ticketing equipment for passengers, the self-service ticket vending machines (TVM) were showcased as well, both their onboard and in-station versions.

The company also exhibited its CAD/AVL and driver ticketing equipment, both the modular and all-in-one versions, offering a range of high-performance products that can provide various features in line with the level of use required by each customer.

GMV also presented its EcoDriving solution, which merges onboard hardware with onboard and central software to monitor driving quality in real time and coach the driver towards more efficient and environmentally sustainable driving. Finally, it also showcased the GMV Planner tool for the end-to-end management of transportation service planning and operation tasks.

FIAA is a key meeting point for the bus industry and road passenger transportation companies, and a landmark showcase for innovations in safe, environmentally friendly and connected collective mobility.
