GMV at the European Patients Congress

In this congress, organized by the European Institute of Health and Social Welfare, WHO experts and the European Medicines Agency (EMA), heads of public hospitals and opinion leaders have presented new strategies and the most trailblazing healthcare treatment. Carlos Royo, GMV’s Healthcare Business Development Manager, presented antari, GMV’s inhouse e-Health and Big Data suite that facilitates epidemiological control, chronic-patient monitoring or patient-physician and specialist-specialist consultations, among other performance features.

The various congress speeches brought out the current healthcare trend towards an increasingly patient-centered approach, offering them more information and better treatment. Along these lines Carlos Royo stressed that technology-assisted healthcare “does not dehumanize the treatment but rather improves patient-physician liaison”. Indeed, “GMV’s telemedicine platform allows the doctor to “accompany” patients in their home at any time, lending them a sense of security that is conducive to their better self-care”.

The consensus opinion of the congress attendees was that “healthcare-applied technology is now mature and ready to help improve quality and sustain the whole healthcare system.
