GMV is a new member of the Spanish Observatory for Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Analytics

GMV is joining the Spanish Observatory for Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Analytics (BIDA Observatory). “GMV’s commitment to innovation and the development and adoption of advanced digital technology, such as artificial intelligence and big data, is the reason it's joined organizations such as the BIDA Observatory, whose main goal is to develop a platform for sharing experiences in relation to the use of big data, artificial intelligence techniques, and other modern techniques applied in data analysis,” says Gema Pérez, from Business Development for the Financial Services Industry at GMV. 

Some of the BIDA Observatory's initiatives seek to understand how society interacts with AI and analyze the degree to which people trust it and the degree to which transparency and ethics govern the use of this technology. These projects also recognize the strengths of AI and the social, legal, and ethical implications of using it along with big data in the private sector, public institutions, and society in general. 

Led by the Spanish Accounting and Business Administration Association (AECA), the BIDA Observatory has been working since 2018 to promote collaboration among its members through various initiatives and activities. The association is made up of 27 companies and organizations from the fields of finance and banking, telecommunications and networks, energy, insurance, technology/IT solutions and infrastructure, and auditing and consulting, as well as national-level public institutions and agencies, thus providing an ideal forum for public-private collaboration.
