“Empowering Talent” Workshop

On October 1st, GMV will be taking part in the “Empowering Talent” workshop organized by Europa Press, which is taking place in Madrid. Spain’s Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities, Diana Morant, will also be participating at the event, which has become a leading forum for analyzing key issues related to talent, reskilling, and acquisition of new competencies in a context marked by disruptive technological changes.

The President of Europa Press will be welcoming the attendees and giving an introduction, followed by the Minister’s address. This will be followed by two roundtable discussions. The first, entitled “The futures of higher education”, will be considering the primary challenges now facing the university system in a scenario of accelerated change.

The second, entitled “Talent, universities, and business”, will feature participation by Ignacio Ramos, Manager of People and Infrastructure Strategy at GMV, as well as by Óscar García Suárez, Rector of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), and María Narváez, Global Talent Manager at the insurance company Mapfre. Moderated by Candelas Martín de Cabiedes, General Business Manager at Europa Press, the focus of this session will be university-business collaborations, employability, and the needs of a constantly evolving job market.
