BACSI Exercise
As part of the Connected, Sustainable, and Intelligent Air Base (BACSI) project sponsored by the Spanish Air and Space Force, GMV will be participating in the BACSI Exercise that will take place on March 18th and 19th in Albacete. The purpose of this event is to validate advanced solutions in a real operational environment, with an emphasis on technological demonstrations and applied innovations, while also encouraging collaborations among institutions, research centers, universities, technology companies, and industry.
The BACSI Exercise has been conceived as a gathering focused on analyzing and testing key capacities for the defense facilities of the present and future. The two‑day event will be held in various operational spaces linked to the Albacete Air Base, and it will feature live demonstrations, technical sessions, and presentations on actual use cases.
There will be an emphasis on strategic areas such as digitalization of infrastructure, advanced connectivity, sustainability, automation, cybersecurity, and intelligent operational support systems. Addressing these topics will promote a comprehensive approach to the challenges related to modernization of air bases, operational efficiency, and resilience for critical facilities and systems.
GMV will have its own stand at the event (number 79 in the TLP Hangar), where it will be showcasing the solutions and systems it has developed for Spain’s military and police forces, and for crisis monitoring and management, defense and security, and information security.
