17th SEG² Event: CyberSec Spain – Security, Defense, and Digital Sovereignty
The 17th Integrated Security Meeting (SEG²) is entitled “CyberSec Spain: Security, Defense, and Digital Sovereignty”, and it will take place in Madrid on June 24th. This event is organized by Red Seguridad and Seguritecnia, with collaboration by the Borredá Foundation and with GMV as a featured sponsor.
This gathering will be focused on the important subject of digital sovereignty, which is understood to mean the ability of Spain and Europe to protect and control their own critical services, digital infrastructure, data, communications, and technologies. The aim is to reduce reliance on external sources and mitigate the risks that can arise from espionage or from manipulation or interruption of essential services. In the current context of hybrid threats in cyberspace, this topic has become even more relevant.
The event will culminate with presentation of the Red Seguridad ICT Awards, at a ceremony attended by government officials, public and private entities, and industry leaders. The purpose of these awards is to recognize the most outstanding contributions made to strengthening the culture of cybersecurity in Spain.
