Spanish Companies GMV and LuxQuanta Join Forces to Strengthen Europe’s Quantum-Safe Future

This collaboration positions Spain at the forefront of Europe’s quantum-secure communication revolution, combining GMV’s proven Key Management System (KMS) and decades of cybersecurity experience with LuxQuanta’s field-proven Continuous-Variable QKD solutions.

For QKD networks to emerge globally, the path towards commercial, scalable, and long-range quantum communication relies on the synergy between terrestrial fiber networks and the space segment. The terrestrial layer enables secure quantum key exchanges across national and metropolitan infrastructures, forming the backbone of Europe’s quantum communication ecosystem. In parallel, the satellite segment ensures that quantum-safe communications can extend beyond ground links, enabling secure connections where fibre cannot reach, across borders and overseas, through a secure space-based quantum key infrastructure.
