GMV will host the fifth International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) Conference on Space Situational Awareness (ICSSA) at its premises located on Santiago Grisolía Street (Tres Cantos, Madrid) from April 7th to 9th, 2026.

Sustainable access and utilization of space rely on the awareness of its environment, both from the perspective of human operators on the ground and autonomous spacecraft during flight. As the nature and number of participants utilizing the space environment grow, there is a critical need for steadfast governance driven by a coherent space policy. ICSSA will cover a broad range of technical and policy-related aspects associated with the topic of Space Situational Awareness (SSA).

The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department of the University of Florida (UF) organizes this event that is supported by the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).
