Secured WiFi Access Solution

Emissary^® is GMV's comprehensive solution to managing and establishing security policies on wireless networks based on market standards and designed to be used by entities that require overall control of their wireless networks, as well as delegated administration.

Emissary^® has the advantage of being based on open source software and it can be used on service mode in order to be accessed remotely by the devices within the wireless network. It is compatible with any wireless access point using standard 802.1x, allowing it to establish network access policies with different levels of security, from username and password to digital certificates (including the electronic ID and the digital certificates issued by the Royal Spanish Mint). It provides an extremely high level of granularity as far as management, allowing the definition of user groups, roles, profiles and policies from these categories, and thus enabling capabilities such as total mobility between users in different networks, buildings, locations and autonomous entities as far as wireless security.

Although Emissary^® has been designed to work with wireless networks, its architecture and technology allows for it to be used as a central system to manage security policies in wired networks able to support this widely spread 802.1x standard.
