Center of Excellence in Free Distribution Software

The popularity of solutions based on open sources or free distribution experienced a boom in the last few years due to the extraordinary supply of increasingly mature products and to the unwavering support that Public Administrations have given to using of this type of software. Similarly, GMV vigorously supports the use of these solutions as part of its platforms and architectures, and has commissioned a Center of Excellence in Free Distribution Software for that purpose. This GMV Center can:

• Analyze various critical aspects from each package or distribution (i.e. performance, scalability) and select the most suitable products for each project
  
  
• Integrate various solutions in its laboratories and ensure through extensive testing, the interoperability of the solutions
  
  
• Create replicas of the platforms implemented by its clients for the purpose of improving support and maintenance services for those platforms
  
  
• Subject new versions and patches to regression testing to verify their stability and security
  
  
• Manage the in-house training of personnel in related technologies
  
  
• All of the solutions based on free distribution software are supported and maintained by GMV
