magicSBAS is a state-of-the-art, multi-constellation, operational Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) testbed developed by GMV to offer SBAS regional differential corrections and non-safety critical integrity augmentation to any interested region.
magicSBAS regional differential corrections can improve the GPS, GLONASS and Galileo positioning accuracy down to the meter level.
The SBAS augmentation message produced by magicSBAS is fully compliant with SBAS international standards such as RTCA/DO-229D and ICAO SARPs, and can be broadcast through the Internet and by supported GEO satellite providers.
The algorithms implemented in magicSBAS have been fully developed by GMV and are the result of more than 15 years of experience in the development of EGNOS and other SBAS programs around the world.
The magicSBAS product suite also includes a post-processing version, which is the ideal tool to support SBAS engineering and feasibility studies where the user expects fast executions. This version can process pre-stored scenarios to perform trade-offs, architecture optimization and fine tuning of the algorithms.
magicSBAS can be used in combination with magicLPV to fly SBAS augmented GPS APV approach procedures, down to LPV minima, and demonstrate the operational benefits of GPS and Satellite Based Augmentation (SBAS) to air users, service providers, airport authorities and regulators.
