GMV is a specialist in the design and development of ground-support aeronautical equipment for aircraft such as the Eurofighter or the tactical UAV ATLANTE and test benches.

Over the years GMV has designed and developed various automated test benches for electronic systems and equipment. On the strength of these activities GMV has built up a technological expertise in areas such as data capture and analysis and the preparation and automization of test sequences.

Technological activities in the defense area have been able to tap into synergies with our space activities. In the field of complete automated test bench systems there is a large overlap with satellite command and control systems and test automation of these systems; likewise, in the field of onboard equipment and avionics software there is also a clear overlap with the area of onboard software in the space field.

In this area GMV has the following technical skills: 

• Software for definition and specification of test sequences. 
• Software for automatic test-bench control, including the generation of stimuli for the equipment or systems under test and analysis of their response. 
• HW/SW interfaces for activation of equipment and systems under test and measuring their response.
